Zombie Soldiers Shuffle Toward Washington in Indie Comics Magazine's Summer Issue

It's the American Revolution. General Harrison's Brigade has joined with British forces  to battle an unexpected force: undead soldiers gather near Lexington. Thus begins Joe Sergi's "The Zombie War of 1812" in Indie Comics Magazine's Summer Issue, scheduled for preorder in Diamond's June 2012 Previews under Aazurn Publishing.

Artist Marc Jameson mixes the known with the unexpected, presenting zombies in uniform and combining a clean inked line with chaotic page layouts.

Writer Joe Sergi is a newcomer, but no stranger to critical acclaim. Sergi's first novel, Sky Girl and the Superheroic Legacy, was released from iEnovel in 2010. That same year, Joe received the Haller Award for Best Writer from the Comicbook Artist Guild at New York ComicCon. He was selected as a semi-finalist in the Who Wants to Create a Superheroine contest sponsored by the Shadowline Imprint of Image Comics.

Sergi  writes short stories and articles in the horror, science fiction, and superhero genres. For comics, he has written romance, superhero, science fiction, and horror tales.

Indie Comics Magazine's Summer Issue will feature eight complete stories, from creators as diverse as Star Trek book writer Frederick Kim, Norwegian Glenn Møane, and Australia's Paul Bradford.

A video preview of this issue is online at http://indiecomicsmagazine.com/.

The moody cover painting for the Summer Issue is by Image and Disney illustrator Terry Pavlet.

Short biographies and contact information are included with done-in-one stories in Indie Comics Magazine so readers can easily seek out more of their favorite creators' work. A complete list of Joe's titles is available at http://www.joesergi.net/.
