Students of the Unusual's team of storytellers return with a story of knights, Christmas and magic in Indie Comics Magazine #4, a special holiday issue, scheduled for preorder in Diamond Comic Distributors' October 2011 Previews catalog and available ONLY through Previews, announced Publisher Gary Scott Beatty.
Rescue Santa from muggers and you never know where it will lead. Maybe you will find yourself a participant in medieval Christmas games. This done-in-one story from Terry Cronin and Jorge Calamato is just one of eight holiday stories in Indie Comics Magazine's first Christmas issue.
The Students of the Unusual comic series is filled with horror tales mainly based on the myths, legends and history of the state of Florida. The series is published by 3 Boys Productions, founded by Cronin, Jeff Hall, Bob Lizek and Pat Martin. Cronin is a film producer, director and dermatologist who works with the team to produce the annual Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival. They are currently producing Adventure Chefs, a reality show where contestants hunt, forage and gather food to prepare fine dining for judges. Cronin's new Skinvestigator books follow the murder investigations of dermatologist Doctor Harry Poe.
Each issue of Indie Comics Magazine features full stories from many indie comic book creators, said Beatty. Short biographies and contact information are included so readers can easily seek out more of the creators' work. Full color Students of the Unusual books can be bought at Students of the Unusual.com.
Also scheduled for the Indie Comics Magazine Christmas Issue are Ignatz Award winner Rich Koslowski's The 3 Geeks, Adventures of Aaron cartoonist Aaron Warner's A College Girl Named Joe and Mad magazine's Douglas Paszkiewicz with Arsenic Lullaby.
Indie Comics Magazine is 64 pages of the best story and art from today's independent comic book creators.
