The Curls Studio team of writer Joe Carabeo and illustrator Carolyn Belefski present How Roxy and Dean Stole Christmas in Indie Comics Magazine #4, a special holiday issue, scheduled for preorder in Diamond Comic Distributors' October 2011 Previews catalog and available ONLY through Previews, announced Publisher Gary Scott Beatty.
Belefski displays a new Curls webcomic every Monday and Thursday. Her illustrations have been published in USA Weekend Magazine, The Commonwealth Times, Magic Bullet, The Pulse on Comicon.com and more. She was nominated for Friends of Lulu's 2010 Kim Yale Award for Most Talented Newcomer. "We're excited to once again feature one of the hardest working and most talented women in independent comics today," said Beatty.
Belefski and Carabeo offend and/or entertain with their podcast, The Carolyn and Joe Show, each Tuesday. The team collaborate on the comic books Kid Roxy, Black Magic Tales and The Legettes. Their Indie Comics Magazine story feature their Black Magic Tales characters, the adventures of the World’s Most Famous Criminals, Roxy and Dean.
Each issue of Indie Comics Magazine features full stories from many indie comic book creators, said Beatty. Short biographies and contact information are included so readers can easily seek out more of the creators' work.
