Harvey and Eisner Award nominated Douglas Paszkiewicz will feature eight pages of his popular Arsenic Lullaby creation in Indie Comics Magazine #4, a special Christmas issue, scheduled for preorder in Diamond Comic Distributors' October 2011 Previews catalog and available ONLY through Previews, announced Publisher Gary Scott Beatty.
Paszkiewicz' work is regularly featured in several national publications including Mad Magazine, Too Much Coffee Man Magazine, and others. The 10 year collection Arsenic Lullaby: The Devil's Decade was recently released in hardcover and softcover, over 400 pages of dark humor and editorial commentary "reviewing all the crap that went on behind the scenes," he wrote.
Paszkiewicz is the creator of the cartoon fetus, he helped bring voodoo and zombies back into pop culture, and taught the world to laugh at suicide, abortion, genocide, infanticide, starvation and anyone who tries to make a difference. "There are a lot of comedy comics trying to be offbeat right now," said Beatty. "Pasz's work is so unexpected, the twists so jarring and witty, he transcends current trends. We're lucky to have his take on Christmas in this special holiday issue of Indie Comics Magazine."
Each issue of Indie Comics Magazine features full stories from many indie comic book creators, said Beatty. Short biographies and contact information are included so readers can easily seek out more of the creators' work. Merchandise, blog, sketches, the Arsenic Lullaby animated pilot and more is at Arsenic Lullabies.com.
Indie Comics Magazine is 64 pages of the best story and art from today's independent comic book creators. No huge overprint, no digital version, no back issue sales, October's Previews under Aazurn Publishing is the ONLY way comic readers can get Indie Comics Magazine #4, the Christmas issue!
