You ditch your wife for a lover and all hell breaks loose! Guns blazing, The Standard appears in Indie Comics HORROR #1, in September's Previews, Diamond's comic book preorder catalog, under Aazurn Publishing.
"Horror takes many forms and I couldn't resist this story from Glenn Møane for our first issue," said Aazurn Publishing Publisher/Editor Gary Scott Beatty. "Hitchcock-like suspense, with twists and misdirection, is hard to pull off in an eight page short story. Møane delivers!"
"Struggling Norwegian writer" Glenn Møane has released “American Sinner” with Edson Alves, “The Gathering” with Enric Simon (in Food Chain Anthology #1), and “Homecoming” with Marco Santiago. "The Standard" was published in a digital anthology through Diablo Comics Presents and graphic novel “Partners” (illustrated by Elias Martins) will soon be published by MoonShot Digital Comics.
In The Standard, artist Adrian Rodriguez portrays suburban life, gunplay and treachery with a cinematic, unfaltering eye for detail.
Møane is currently working on a webcomic project called "Lazarus Standing." A number of his noir tales dealing with crime, cynicism, and people motivated by greed and sex will be collected in an anthology with art from illustrators as diverse as Henderson and Desperado's Predrag Ivanovic. Keep up with the writer at glennmoane.blogspot.com.
Six complete stories of dread shamble through Indie Comics HORROR #1, the best fear from independent comic book creators. Said Beatty, "We like complete stories, well told!"
Information about creators and a video preview of Indie Comics HORROR #1, with music by the appropriately indie Chantron, is online at IndieComicsMagazine.com.
With no huge overprint, no digital version and no back issue sales, Indie Comics HORROR is available ONLY at your local and online comic book shops. It is best to preorder from September's Previews, said Beatty. Some Indie Comics Magazine issues, like last year's Christmas issue, are now hard to find.
